This Greek-English dictionary of the New Testament has been compiled on the basis of many years’ experience in translating the New Testament worldwide. It differs from traditional dictionaries: rather than listing the meanings of words according to logical and historical principles, the various meanings are presented according to their usage in the New Testament. In this way, the most important and most frequent meanings appear first, whilst the secondary, less frequent meanings are listed afterwards.
It covers the complete vocabulary of the Greek New Testament in accordance with the forthcoming 29th edition of the Nestle-Aland Novum Testament Graece (NA29) and the 6th edition of the UBS Greek New Testament (UBS6). A system of cross-references links related Greek terms, and the appendix contains an overview of groups of words with similar meanings.
