The crown is the common symbol of royalty and victory. It is however also a symbol of honour and distinction.

The word Baptism comes from the verb “to baptise”. John the Baptist baptised people in the water of the Jordan. Much in the sense of the Greek baptizein (βαπτίζειν – to immerse in water) John immersed or baptised Jesus. This ritual act is supposed to show the “old godless person” being “washed away” and a “new person on God’s side” being pulled out of the water. 

Baptism isn’t conceivable because water expresses as a symbol that God gives us “new life” through Baptism. Water is more than a symbol – it is the element of Baptism. There is no Baptism without water. The Cross is the most important Christian symbol. It finds its place in the middle of life as a symbol of faith.
