Candles remind us that God accompanies us on the path of life. Jesus said “I am the light of the world” (John 8:12). Just like light illuminates the dark, we live in the light of his love. He’s close to us and blesses us. When first Communion candles are lit at the Church service or on the tables at the celebrations boys and girls can feel that Jesus is the light of the world and strengthens us at the Holy Communion

This elegantly designed Communion candle is a popular gift for boys and girls. At 40 x 4 cm, the candle offers plenty of space for the colourful print motif and the artistically arranged wax motif. A central object on this candle is the chalice. As well as this, waves in silver decorate the cross on this candle. These Communion candles are appealingly packaged for delivery.

Communion Candle with Print Motif “Rainbow Fish”
This lovely candle makes for a wonderful gift for Communion. Different symbols such as water and fish decorate it in an example of intricate artistic work. The Ichthys symbol comes from Greek and means “fish“. Early Christian used the fish during the times of persecution as a secret symbol of recognition. To be sure if present, unknown people were followers of Jesus or not they drew an arch in the sand. If the other person then completed the symbol with another arch to make the fish they revealed that they too were a Christian. The fish wasn’t chosen at random, but rather has two meanings. Firstly, it refers Mark 1:17 where Jesus called upon Simon (who was later named Peter) and his brother Andrew while they were fishing in the Sea of Galilee to go with him and become fishers of men. As well as this, a type of profession of faith can be derived from the beginning letters of the Greek word: I - JesusCh - Christ [the "anointed", in Hebrew "Maschiach" (the Messiah)]Th – God‘sY – Son  S – Saviour
