The Good News Bible (GNB) is an example of a Bible edition that has been translated in a way that is reader friendly and makes getting closer to the word of God easier for the masses. Often referred to as a "thought for thought" translation as opposed to a literal and often more exclusive "word for word" translation.
With its wine-coloured, hard-cover case, this Good News Bible Edition makes for a fantastic gift for those close to you or a fantastic acquisition for yourself. The edition includes explainations for some customs, notations, concordance, explainations of key terms and a map of the region.
In light of its emphasis on being clear and understandable, it is often turned to in schools and Sunday schools as well as for young people and those whose second language is English. It also enjoys great popularity in the English speaking world for services for all ages.

This bilingual Bible Edition combines two of the most significant Bible translations with each other. The revised Luther Bible 2017 and the English Standard Version (ESV). Much like the Luther Bible has been a classic Bible for a long time in the German speaking world, the very philosophically based ESV has established itself since its publication in 2001 as a leading translation in the English speaking world. It builds upon the influential Revised Standard Version from 1946 / 1952.The texts from both editions (without apocrypha) are printed next to one another so that a direct comparison is possible. The font ensures good legibility. The edition is completed with extensive notations for both Bible editions. This Bible editions makes for an excellent gift for those who frequently use both German and English as well as for those looking to improve their English or German with the help of the Bible. A very thoughtful gift for anglophones. This Bible edition is made up of the complete 2017 Luther Bible text and the English Standard Version (without apocrypha).A truly bilingual version, with notations regarding the Bible text in German and English as well an easily legible font.
