When the Martinmas processions take place on 11 November, this lantern is something special.
In addition to its beautiful glow, it also tells stories and legends from the life of St Martin, who was bishop in Tours. Two motifs illustrate how Martin, as a soldier, shares his coat with a poor man. One motif shows Martin in the goose stall, where he hides to avoid being elected bishop. And one motif then depicts Martin as the Bishop of Tours. So the hiding didn't help.
The motifs are laid out over a large area, making it easy for small children to colour them in. The dark background does the rest. This allows children to create an impressive lantern.
New: The folding lines on this craft sheet are all grooved. This makes folding extremely easy and precise. With a little help, the St Martin's lantern is also suitable for children of nursery age.
